Processing and structural development studies are often coupled with investigations of coating materials and applications that involve improving properties. In collaboration with Prof. Frank Bates, we are working on block copolymer additives that toughen polymers and coatings. In other work, we explore nanocrystal coatings prepared by plasma deposition with Prof. Uwe Kortshagen.
